At HSR Psychology we ensure that we meet the needs of children and young people. To achieve this we ensure that any specific assessments, intervention, or direct work, is only carried out following an initial discussion.

Mindfulness interventions can be used alongside other interventions to provide extra support for the individual. The young person will often learn how to understand their emotions and recognise how they are feeling. Then the individual will learn how to acknowledge those thoughts and feelings and let them pass without feeling controlled by them. The individual will be given different meditation techniques to try, and will then be given the opportunity to think about how effective these techniques have been for them. Effective techniques may include visualisation and controlled breathing.
After a mindfulness intervention we may recommend some follow up sessions if necessary. Outcomes from a mindfulness intervention can be provided through either verbal feedback or a written report. We will provide support through the entire length of an intervention. Because of this, we also offer follow up support post-intervention.
Mindfulness interventions can be used in different ways and for different reasons. A report is recommended following an intervention as this includes; exactly what took place, the result of our intervention and recommendations for the future. Following a mindfulness intervention, verbal feedback or a written report can be given. Read more about our reports.
Arrange an initial discussion to find out how we can benefit your education setting. The initial discussion lasts 2 hours and is a starting point to identify needs. The cost is £180.
